The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather advisory warning of dense fog and reduced horizontal visibility across coastal and internal regions of the UAE this weekend, as relative humidity reaches up to 90 percent overnight.
According to the official NCM forecast, humid conditions will build late at night and into the early morning hours, particularly across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and the Northern Emirates. The sharp rise in coastal humidity is expected to trigger dense fog and blanket patches of mist, significantly cutting down visibility on major inter-city highways and coastal roads during early commute hours.
Daytime conditions are expected to remain fair to partly cloudy overall, with maximum temperatures ranging between 40°C and 43°C across inland areas. Convective clouds are projected to form eastward and southward over mountainous areas by afternoon, bringing localized wind shifts and the possibility of light localized rain showers.
Traffic authorities and Dubai Police have urged motorists to exercise extreme caution on the roads during foggy periods, recommending reduced speeds, increased safe following distances, and proper use of fog lights rather than hazard lights during low-visibility conditions.
