Emirates and Etihad Airways have stopped some flights to Bahrain and Kuwait for a time. They say this is because of things that are still going on with how they run things and because it is not safe in some parts of the Gulf area. Emirates and Etihad Airways are doing this to make sure everything is okay with air travel. Emirates and Etihad Airways are watching what is happening in the Gulf area. They are making decisions about flights, to Bahrain and Kuwait based on this.

The two airlines in the United Arab Emirates said they will not be running some flights to and from countries, for a while. These flights will be cancelled until they say it is okay to start them. The UAE carriers want people who are supposed to travel to check if their flight is still happening before they go to the airport. If your flight is cancelled the airlines will help you find another way to get where you are going. This will depend on what you agreed to when you booked your ticket with the UAE carriers.

The latest extension comes as airlines across the Middle East continue to adjust flight schedules in response to evolving regional developments and temporary airspace restrictions. Aviation authorities and carriers have been closely monitoring the security situation, with some airlines rerouting aircraft or revising operations to prioritise passenger and crew safety.

Emirates advised travellers to verify their flight details through its official booking channels before leaving for the airport, while Etihad said customers whose itineraries have been disrupted will be contacted directly regarding rebooking options or other available assistance. Airport operations in the UAE continue to function normally, although passengers travelling to destinations affected by operational changes may experience schedule adjustments.

Industry analysts said airlines have increasingly adopted a flexible approach to route planning during periods of regional uncertainty. Flight schedules are being reviewed regularly based on updated risk assessments, regulatory guidance and airspace availability to minimise disruption while maintaining safe operations.

Passengers connecting through Dubai International Airport and Zayed International Airport have also been encouraged to confirm onward travel plans, particularly if their itineraries include destinations where operational restrictions remain in place. Travellers are advised to allow extra time for airport procedures and monitor notifications from their airline.

Both Emirates and Etihad reiterated that passenger safety remains their highest priority and said they will continue to review the situation in coordination with relevant aviation authorities. Additional schedule changes may be introduced if operational conditions evolve, with travellers encouraged to stay informed through official airline updates.
