Dubai Media Office denies Reuters report on explosions in Downtown Dubai

Authorities urge public and media to rely on official sources and warn of action against outlets publishing false or unverified information

In a statement published on its official social media channels, the GDMO said the Reuters report regarding explosions in the centre of Dubai is false and urged the public and media outlets to rely only on official sources for accurate information and to avoid spreading rumours or unverified reports.

Dubai: The Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO) has denied a Reuters report alleging explosions in Downtown Dubai, describing the information contained in the report as false.

In a statement published on its official social media channels, the GDMO said the Reuters report regarding explosions in the centre of Dubai is false and urged the public and media outlets to rely only on official sources for accurate information and to avoid spreading rumours or unverified reports.

The office reiterated its call for media organisations and the public to obtain information from official sources and verify reports before publication or circulation.
