The United Arab Emirates has expressed its heartfelt condolences and sincere solidarity with the Republic of Zimbabwe following a tragic ferry capsizing that resulted in numerous casualties and missing persons.
In an official statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), the UAE extended its sympathies to the government and people of Zimbabwe, as well as to the families of the victims affected by the maritime disaster. The Ministry also wished for a swift recovery for all those injured in the incident.
The statement reaffirmed the strong ties of friendship between the UAE and Zimbabwe, emphasizing the Emirates’ support for the African nation during this period of grief. Emergency response and search-and-rescue operations led by local authorities in Zimbabwe remain underway as rescue teams continue to search for survivors and manage recovery efforts.
