Flydubai announced today the resumption and expansion of its operations in Syria with the launch of daily direct flights to Aleppo International Airport.
Flights are scheduled to begin on July 20, 2026, making Aleppo Flydubai’s second destination in Syria alongside the capital Damascus, in a move that reflects the carrier’s commitment to strengthening air connectivity with underserved markets.
Commenting on the resumption of flights to Aleppo, Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai, said: “We are delighted to resume our flights to Aleppo after a hiatus of more than 14 years. The launch of our daily flights to Aleppo marks a significant milestone in our network expansion strategy. Our core mission has always been to support Dubai’s position as a global aviation hub by providing direct flights to underserved markets. By operating daily flights to Aleppo, we are not only meeting the growing demand for direct travel, but also contributing to strengthening economic, cultural, and family ties between the UAE and Syria.”
Aleppo, historically renowned as a major trading hub and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, is a significant market with high demand for business travel, visits to friends and relatives, and air freight services. The resumption of direct flights also provides a vital link for Syrians residing in the UAE and the Gulf region, significantly reducing travel times compared to indirect routes.

Passengers will enjoy the experience of traveling on board Flydubai’s modern fleet, which includes seats that convert into fully flat beds in Business Class, seats designed to the highest standards of comfort in Economy Class, along with a modern in-flight entertainment system, meals inspired by international cuisines, and advanced air cargo capabilities that support bilateral trade.
Flydubai was the first UAE carrier to operate daily flights between Dubai and Damascus on June 1, 2025. With increasing demand for this route, the carrier has increased its flights to three daily flights to the Syrian capital.
Flydubai has also recently added Benghazi in Libya and Bangkok in Thailand to its growing network, and is scheduled to begin flights to Pokhara in Nepal from September 23, 2026.
The direct flights to Aleppo are operated as part of the codeshare flights between Flydubai and Emirates, allowing passengers to benefit from a smoother travel experience, including booking a single ticket, completing travel procedures and baggage linkage to the final destination, in addition to access to a wide and integrated network of destinations for both carriers.
Flights to Aleppo International Airport (ALP) will operate daily from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport (DXB).
Round-trip business class tickets from Dubai International Airport to Aleppo International Airport start from AED 8,000, while basic economy class tickets start from AED 1,800. Round-trip business class tickets from Aleppo International Airport to Dubai International Airport start from USD 2,000, while basic economy class tickets start from USD 470.
