Minority shareholders in AD Ports Group have been granted an extension until September 15, 2026, to tender their shares under the mandatory takeover offer initiated by L’IMAD Investment, according to official regulatory filings released on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX).

The extension provides individual and institutional investors additional time to evaluate the terms of the acquisition offer, which was launched following L’IMAD’s acquisition of a controlling stake in the logistics and maritime giant earlier this year. Under UAE securities regulations, acquirers reaching specified ownership thresholds must extend a formal buyout offer to all remaining equity holders at a fair market valuation evaluated by independent financial advisors.

AD Ports Group, which operates key commercial ports, economic zones, and global maritime logistics networks across the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia, confirmed that its board of directors had reviewed the offer terms. The company’s independent board committee recommended that shareholders carefully assess their investment horizons, capital requirements, and portfolio strategy before deciding whether to tender their holdings or maintain their equity stake.

Financial analysts noted that the extended deadline ensures sufficient liquidity options for international institutional investors following summer market lulls. Market participants expect trading volumes in AD Ports equity to adjust as the closing date approaches, with L’IMAD intending to maintain the company’s public listing on the ADX while supporting its long-term strategic expansion into international trade corridors and digital logistics infrastructure.

Shareholders wishing to participate in the mandatory offer are required to submit their tender applications through authorized brokerage firms or accredited clearing members on the ADX platform prior to the close of trading on September 15.
