Government says no threats have been recorded in recent hours and operations continue under established safety procedures

Jordan’s Minister of Government Communication and Government Spokesperson Mohammad Momani said on Sunday that King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba and Aqaba Port are operating normally, adding that no evacuation orders have been issued by the relevant authorities.

In a press statement, he stressed that operations at both the airport and the port are continuing as normal in line with established procedures.

Momani added that the country’s emergency protocols include the immediate activation of warning sirens should any potential threat arise.

The spokesperson reaffirmed that the relevant authorities continue to monitor the situation and that normal operations remain in place at both facilities.
