DIFC surpasses 10,000 active registered companies in H1 2026, driven by 30% annual growth and a 39% rise in AI, FinTech and innovation firms supporting Dubai’s D33 vision

Dubai: Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) has surpassed 10,000 active registered companies for the first time in its history during the first half of 2026, marking an annual growth rate of 30%.

The growth was supported by strong expansion across key sectors, particularly in technology and innovation. The number of AI, FinTech and innovation firms operating within DIFC reached 1,933, representing a 39% year-on-year increase, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the UAE posted on social media platform X.

“Dubai International Financial Centre continues to deliver strong results and reinforce its role in advancing Dubai towards the vision set by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum under the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, to position our city among the world’s top four financial centres,” Sheikh Maktoum posted.

DIFC also recorded continued growth in family business-related entities and firms, reflecting sustained momentum across its business community.

Commenting on Dubai’s approach to growth and development, he added:

“In Dubai, leadership is not measured only by what we achieve, but by the opportunities we create for others. Our journey is not about keeping pace with the future—it is about helping shape it.”
