MoU focuses on education, research and digital skills to prepare future-ready media professionals
Dubai, UAE: Dubai Media Academy, the training and development arm of Dubai Media, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University to strengthen collaboration in media education, training and scientific research, while developing specialised programmes and initiatives that prepare media professionals to meet the demands of digital transformation and emerging technologies.
The partnership reflects both organisations’ commitment to building a strategic collaboration that advances media education, promotes innovation and research, and equips national talent with the knowledge and skills needed to shape the future of the media sector.
The MoU was signed by His Excellency Dr Mansoor Al Awar, Chancellor of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University, and Mona Busamra, Director of Dubai Media Academy.
Under the agreement, the two organisations will collaborate on developing joint educational and professional training programmes, organising specialised workshops and seminars, exchanging expertise in digital media, innovation and artificial intelligence, and supporting joint research initiatives that contribute to the continued development of the media sector and strengthen the readiness of national talent for the future.
His Excellency Dr Mansoor Al Awar said the partnership marks an important step towards strengthening the integration of education, media and innovation, helping to develop national talent capable of leading the media sector through rapid digital transformation.
Mona Busamra said the partnership reflects Dubai Media Academy’s commitment to expanding collaboration with leading academic institutions and creating an integrated ecosystem that combines academic excellence with practical industry experience.
