UAE weather: Temperatures drop to high 30s in Dubai as humidity eases

After days of mid-40s heat, temperatures dip slightly across the UAE with lower humidity and calm sea conditions.

Dubai: Enjoy a classic summer day in Dubai, with the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasting fair weather conditions for the day ahead.

Slight dip in temperatures

Peak temperatures in major cities are sliding down, from yesterday’s mid-40s to the high-30s today. Dubai and Fujairah are expected to see a peak of 38°C, while Sharjah and Abu Dhabi will hit 39°C.

Humidity is also dipping today to 70% in coastal regions and 60% in internal areas.

According to the NCM, coastal and island regions of the UAE will see maximum temperatures of 37°C to 41°C, while it will be much warmer in inland areas, where temperatures will range between 41°C and 46°C.

Gentle winds, calm seas

The NCM forecasts light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds, freshening at times, and reaching speeds of up to 35km/h.

With gentle winds, sea conditions are expected to remain calm along both eastern and western coasts of the country.

Arabian Gulf: According to the NCM, the Arabian Gulf will remain slight to moderate today, with average wave heights of one to two feet onshore, reaching four feet off-shore.

Sea of Oman: Along the eastern coast of the country, the Sea of Oman is expected to see slight conditions throughout the day, with calm waters and gentle waves of two to three feet.
